VIMM HIV/AIDs/STD Education and Treatment |

Volunteers In Medical Missions has been invited by Global Love In Action to conduct both education and treatment for HIV/AIDS/STD to the indigenous people group of the Shuar Indians in the Amazon Rain Forest.
VIMM (Volunteers In Medical Missions) agrees with Global Love In Action that the promotion of health education on prevention of HIV/AIDS/STD and Drug Abuse among the lives of the populace of our targeted geographic area is of paramount importance.
There are very few effective drugs for the treatment of HIV/AIDS. Global Love In Action has been blessed by the fact that Omega Pharmaceuticals has made available to us for our use in the Amazon Jungle Basin area of Ecuador their experimental (but highly effective) drug CM4. This drug has proven highly effective in Africa in trating HIV/AIDS. It is a honor for Global Love In Action to have been given access to this drug for use in Ecuador.
VIMM will work in areas designated by Global Love In Action in conducting educational classes and administering this drug as needed. There also is ample written educational material (in Spanish) available for distribution as a part of the educational process.
